A commoner ask a Zen master, "What is the profound mystery of Zen?"
The Zen master answered, " The Analects of Confucius say: 'I have concealed nothing from you'. In Zen, nothing is also hidden from you."
"I still do not understand", replied the commoner with his confused face.
"Come with me for a walk at the back of the mountain....", invited the master.
After few minutes walk, the master ask, "Did you smell the fragrance of the osmanthus?"
"No", the commoner answered plainly.
"In that case, i have not hidden anything from you", explained the master.
Live in the now and insight is there before you. Be aware of each and every moment of your life. Every night is then like the joy of springtime and everyday is good day.
It is not to learn but to remember, not to search but to realize
