Puppy for Sale

January 22nd 2008 08:23
A pet store decided to put on an interesting advertisement for kids, "Puppy for Sale". In just few moments, came a young boy, came into the store and asked, "How much is the puppy that you have for sale?" The owner replied,"One would cost around 30-50 dollars."
The boy then drew out several coins out of his pocket, "I only have 2.37 dollar now, but may i see the puppies you have for sale?"

The store owner kindly smiled. He whistled calling his puppies. Just a short time later, there came a dog named Lady followed by her five puppies. They ran round and round along the store.

But there seemed to be one puppy running left behind catching up. The boy pointed at that very last puppy to arrive which seemed to be disabled. He asked, "What was wrong with that puppy?"
The store owner explained that when born, the puppy had somekind of abnormality in its waist, therefore would suffer such disability for the rest of its life. The young boy seemed happy upon hearing it and said, "I would want to buy that disabled puppy!"
The store owner responded, "No, don't, don't buy that disabled puppy. But if you want it, i can give it for you free." The young boy seemed disappointed. He looked into the store owner's eyes and said, "I don't want you to give that puppy away free to me. Though disabled, the puppy still have the same price as of other puppies. I will pay full for the puppy. Right now, i only have 2.35 dollar. But everyday i will pay 0.5 dollar until full payment."

But the man refused, "Son, you shouldn't buy this puppy. He cant run fast, he cant jump and play like other puppies." The young boy fell silent. He then raised up the corners of his trousers. From behind it, could be seen two disabled legs. He looked into the store owner's eyes and said, "Sir, i cant either run fast. Because of that, i know, that the puppy need somebody who can understand its suffering." Slowly tears filled the corner of the store owner's eyes, he said, "I will pray everyday that these puppies will meet such kind master like you."
