When Banzan was walking through market he overheard a conversation between a butcher and his customer.
"Give me the best piece of meat you have," said the customer. "Everything in my shop is the best", replied the butcher. "You cannot find here any piece of meat that is not the best~, At these words Banzan became enlightened.

Any moment is the best moment and any place, the best place. If only you perceive this whole-heartedly...

Hey WeR1Family,

Another very interesting post. Strictly from a story point of view, there's often a strange moment of dislocation in these zen tales, which is usually a moment, also, when the everyday jumps into the transcendent.

By the way, no need to thank me for commenting on your posts. Thank you for writing them!

WR1,

..perhaps completely Zen in context, but moments of enlightenment can come at the funniest of times, can they not ... this story does not enlighten me much, but creates many more questions in my mind...*lol* then again ... we each attract what is best for us from whever we attract it, no?

enjoyed it, as always WR1F
